Important Content Notice
XStream Player is a media player only. The app does not provide, host, sell, broadcast, or distribute TV channels, movies, series, playlists, subscriptions, or streaming content. Users must use their own legally authorized media sources, playlists, or provider accounts.
Information We Collect
License and device information: We may process a generated device/license identifier, device key, app version, device model, manufacturer, and activation status to activate, validate, restore, and protect licenses.
User-provided media source details: If you add a media source, provider account, playlist, portal URL, username, or password, the app uses that information to connect to the media source you choose.
Playback and app preferences: The app may store favourites, history, parental-control settings, player settings, resume positions, subtitle preferences, and similar local settings on your device.
Metadata and subtitle features: Movie/series titles, search terms, language choices, or media identifiers may be sent to third-party services such as TMDB or OpenSubtitles when those optional features are used.
Diagnostics: Limited logs or error information may be stored locally or used for support if you choose to share them.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide license activation, app functionality, media playback features, support, fraud prevention, security, and optional metadata/subtitle features.
Information Sharing
We do not sell user data. Information may be transmitted to our license server, to the user-selected media provider, to optional metadata/subtitle services, or when required for legal/security reasons.
Data Storage and Security
Some data is stored locally on your device. Our license services and supported APIs should use HTTPS where available. Some user-provided media sources may use HTTP if the user/provider enters an HTTP URL; in that case traffic to that provider may not be encrypted by that provider.
Data Retention and Deletion
Local data remains until you delete it, clear app data, remove saved connections, or uninstall the app. License records may be retained as needed for activation, restore, anti-fraud, support, accounting, and legal-compliance purposes. You can request deletion by emailing sathobby1@hotmail.com.
Children
The app is not directed to children. Users should only add media sources they are legally authorized to access.
Third-Party Services
The app may interact with user-provided media providers, playlist servers, portals, EPG sources, TMDB, OpenSubtitles, and external payment/activation services. These third parties have their own privacy practices.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page.
